Horse scenes

We've had Gracie since February and yesterday was the first day I've gotten on her. She didn't want to yee-ha like she does with Alex but she wasn't entirely happy with me being on her. I think she just wanted to eat.

Hayes wanted to get on Spellbound. Spell looks bad here but she's actually gaining a bit of weight. We changed feed and she started dropping weight, despite getting fed three times daily. I thought it was depression over losing Lisa, her Percheron pasture mate, in Feburary. So we've changed her to a good senior feed and giving her clover hay and have seen a dramatic improvement in her demeanor in just a week. Plus, her lymphagitic ankle shows some decreased swelling and that makes us happy.
