I'm trying to ease the kids into this new school year ... just as we're about to leave on a trip to South Dakota to see Alex's family on the Rosebud reservation.
We did some math and language arts from the new 3rd Grade BrainQuest workbook, followed by a science experiment using Queen Anne's Lace, celery from our garden and food coloring:
Wednesday we did art. Chooj's was inspired by No Time for Flashcards and Hayes' came from Art Projects for Kids.
Thursday we worked on math using our Time Bingo game and played our new card game "Go Nuts" and loved it.
Friday was our homeschool group's oral presentation and game day. Hayes did so well!
She spoke loudly, clearly and gave a good synopsis of her favorite Harry Potter book.It was really hard for Chooj to sit still for the whole thing.
Then it was on to game time with new friends!
