Yearly Pantry, week 10: toothpaste, toothbrushes

This week it's time to stock up on necessary oral hygiene stuff. It's really nice to have an extra toothbrush in the cabinet when you forget your's after traveling somewhere, or the dog gets hold of it. So buy a few toothbrushes, floss and toothpaste.
In fact, you can make your own toothpaste since many on the market contain a lot of chemicals. Sometimes I use just plain baking soda to brush with and I have used strawberries to clean my teeth - strawberries are natural teeth cleaners!
Here's a recipe for make-your-own toothpaste from Tenzicut at Down to the Roots:
6 t. baking soda
2 t. salt
10 drops of water
vegetable glycerin
peppermint oil or some other flavoring
Mix the baking soda and salt then add three teaspoons of vegetable glycerin. Add just enough water to cream it then add about 10 drops of your flavoring. Store in a covered container at room temperature.
