Lots to do, and having done

We hosted Tierston and Nicholas for a night and I hear from their mom that they are entirely depressed after leaving the country. They brushed, fed and rode horses. Played on the tire swing and hammock. Ate watermelon and had a seed spitting contest. We spotted the Milky Way and talked about stars.

Alex dug a hole and one of our front gates will get hung today. We cleared out the back of the house for the 26 tons of gravel that's being delivered today. I need a place to store hay and gravel is the first step.

I'm presently canning 8 pints of corn. I'll have another 8 to do one this batch is finished. Tonight I'm representing an ISR booth at a homeschool conference. I really need our Tennessee place to sell so I can get the rest of my tuition paid and get trained by the end of October.

Hayes went with me to Singing Circle last night. She told our group leader, Shelley, that her throat hurt so she just sang with her heart. One of those things that makes a mom cry.
