Feeling tired and pitiful

In anticipation of the long weekend, we had much planned. First on Saturday, a stop to Building Value in Cincinnati since it was a holiday 50 percent off sale. BV is a non-profit building recycle center. We ALWAYS find something there and Saturday it was a bathroom vanity, sink, two bathroom lights, wallpaper and a quart of paint - $37 total. Well done.

I tried to rest since Alex had been in Houston for the past three days and I don't sleep well when he's gone. I was meeting my friend Jennifer, again in Cincinnati, for a play entitled "Birth" at an independent theater. It was nice just to spend time with Jennifer - a real girl's night out.

Spent the night at her house since I was part of organizing the water communion service in church today (again, in Cincinnati!). I was starting to feel throaty and immediately knew a cold was coming on since I was worn down from little sleep. Singing solo in front of a crowd with a throaty voice is just intimidating, but I got through it and sneaked out of church early to return home.

Alex had moved some gravel and he and Hayes spread concrete over it then watered it well. Now we can move the hay back after it dries.

The work continues tomorrow. Alex needs to get cracking on the tractor, less I attack the 5 acres of weeds in the pasture with the push mower again.
