This week's scenes from the farm

After seeding some lettuce, kale and spinach in my garden, I found these. So excited because I've never grown carrots before!
Our friends brought their horses over to get some more training and Hayes practiced lunging Sparrow every day.
Look at this old Bissel sweeper - made of wood, hand-lathed and put together. I got it at a yard sale for $5 and Alex is trying to find replacement wheels. He was all excited about the workmanship as he took it apart.
And I should've know there was an illness about when Chooj fell asleep in the club chair. Uh-oh.

I really like the carrot that looks like pants! Cool!

Hope all are feeling better at your house. :-)

I think I have one of those old sweepers (I dunno if it's Bissel or not) sitting in the back of my closet. It was a 'gift' for Mother's Day that really pissed me off. I'll look and see if it's the right kind. If it is, then I'll bring it to you next time I see you and you may give it to Alex with my gratitude for getting it the hell out of my house!

(scoffs) A sweeper for Mother's Day...very funny.
