While I cut, the kids found a small mud puddle and looked like elephants lolling around in it ... until Chooj got cold and Alex had to take them back to the house and hose them off.

While I cut, Alex fenced the back so the horses have access to the really good grass.
Previously, Friday night, during a heavy storm, we watched our creek rise and rise until it was even with the land. That's a little nerve-wracking. Alex, Hayes and Chooj walked down to the bridge just past the bottom of our property to see all the debris coming through.

Our neighbors up the road lost a son/brother at this bridge many years ago when it flooded. Our neighbors tell me it floods worse now with this new bridge.

"The little mud children of Borneo; sweet, gentle, creatures, who are happiest with dried bits of earth hanging from them." Priceless pics!
