This past Friday we went with a homeschooling group to Daniel's pumpkin patch outside Cincinnati. It was unexpectedly chilly, even for the new homeschoolers who had just moved here from northern Indiana. Hayes fed Rosie the milk cow then we took a hay ride to pick our pumpkins. After that was the animal barn where Hayes hand fed chickens and turkeys. I was impressed with her and gave a try at feeding the chickens myself (I'm "skeered" of birds) but not the turkeys.
