Hay stacking, mowing, dinner with friends

In preparation for next weekend's trip to Four Feathers Farm to collect stuff, Alex and I moved about 70 bales of hay off the trailer and next to the house. Whew. At least there was a nice breeze blowing in an afternoon storm to cool us somewhat.

Yesterday Alex bushhogged the rest of the property. It looks so good! He kicked up a 4-point buck and faced off with two fat does as he was walking back to the house. I've seen those does before. They must bed down in the weeds.

Hayes and I drove to Georgetown to have dinner with our Georgia friends, Allyne and her daughter Amanda and Sue and her daughter Kimberly and mother Jenny. It was a nice time and made me a little sad and reminicent for the homeschool group we had in Georgia. I don't think, and Sue and Allyne agree, that we'll ever find a group like that again. We all just fit perfectly together.
