My grandmother, Hayes and I returned from a quick weekend trip to St. Charles, Illinois, to be with my Uncle Dean (my Aunt Vicki's husband) as he married Melinda in a fabulously fun luau wedding. This was the first time I met Melinda and I just fell in love with her immediately! She is a fun genuine person and she and Dean fit superbly well together.
I left the wedding party to watch the Belmont and was quite depressed that, yet again, the Triple Crown has been eluded. Big Brown didn't seem himself. I was waiting for that strong push at the end like he's done before, but he was out of gas. It's a shame.
