One of our new horse friends, Tracy, scored us a mini-pony when she went to pick up one for herself a few weeks ago. Tara Jean is 20 years old and was said to be foundered but I really haven't seen any indication of lameness.
She is totally cute, but way fat! Hayes has ridden her all over, which is good, because it has increased her confidence for getting on Hank.
Both Alex and I are very happy she is getting on Hank and it makes the pony happier too.I actually got on Tara Jean just for kicks. She stopped suddenly to eat and I just walked off over her head. Now that's the kind of dismount I can deal with!
Spellbound, of course, seriously bosses Tara Jean around. and T.J. seems most comfortable hanging with Hank.

Our entire six acre pasture was a flowing river last week! The horses survived it by standing on the back hill throughout the flood.
