Winnebago

Almost to South Dakota now!
We stopped here in Nebraska since Alex is Winnebago on his grandmother's side. The Winnebagos have invested their casino money wisely - they're one of the few tribes to actually run their own casino and they give their members $40 a month from the intake.
They have a very nice hospital and school on the reservation and a few small windmills near a housing complex to generate energy.
We stopped by the mini-mall where Indianz.com and AllNative.com are housed to do some shopping.
What came as a surprise to me was that the Winnebagos are a clan system. Alex's mother said they are Bear Clan.
We got to see Alex's Uncle Paul briefly and he was a hoot!
