This was my garden harvest from last Monday: 8 ball zucchini, cucumbers, peas and grape tomatoes. I can tell you today that I'll be harvesting beans and drying some basil, oregano and parsley from the garden.
Learning happens at the oddest times. Hayes grabbed the kitchen scale and our harvest and began to weigh and compare the sizes of our garden bounty. I love it when that happens!

And looky what I did! This was my first time entering the county fair and I won three second ribbons and 3 thirds. So proud of myself and came home with $13 in fair winnings!

My grandmother's despised lantana (what she calls "the stick plant") won me a second in the fair's floral division. Ha!

That is SO impressive! Mason keeps mowing over my lantana, amongst other things. It's a recurring problem here at the Relic Ranch.
this is good one
