Just a taste of spring fever

Oh, the weather warmed over the weekend and there was sunshine. The children got through exploring the creek, rushing from all the melting snow and ice, and read books on the deck. Under the deck is the Hobbit Tack Room that Alex finished and put in place for our horse stuff, originally housed in the laundry room. You have to duck to go in - only the children can stand upright in it. This is because the deck sits flush with our house and this is as high as the deck can go.

With warmer temps, some rain fell today and we explored our neighbor's rock wall across the street from our house.

It was misting but we didn't mind and had many nooks and crannies to explore like this one in the tree the kids climbed. Ooo, wonder what lives in there?

We had to give Spellbound a pat before heading into the woods. The horses always look so pitiful when drenched.

I had to show this "Obama pie" made by one of our church friends for the church auction this past weekend. I believe it was a cherry pie. Doesn't it look delicious? I just couldn't have cut into such a beautiful pie though!
