After brutal weather the last two days, it was actually bearable enough today for creek exploration. The lows the past two nights have been 2 and 6 degrees F and there's wind. The two mares have blankets but the pony doesn't so all three have been huddled in the run-in shed to stay warm. I hauled hot water out to the them Thursday and they drank it right down ("Wow, something that's not freezing cold!").
Here is yet another view of Peeper Island. The creek is basically frozen solid except in some places. Alex, Hayes and Chooj found rabbit tracks.

Hayes and I ventured the entire creek from our place down to the bridge and we found lots of tracks: squirrel, bird, possum, raccoon and perhaps coyote because we found scat in two places. We had quite the adventure!
