We try describing our house and its relation to the land and the road to people, but there's nothing like a picture. Here is a "before" picture. You can see how close the road is and you can see the trash the hillbillies next door have laying about. The road meant a fence was necessary for not only the children but the dogs and cats too. We fenced the upper hill as a spare pasture for the horses and planted 20 evergreens last week, which will hopefully grow fast and block the horrid view.
The remaining acreage runs to the side of the house, the side not pictured here, and a large creek flows all along the back.
I took the last picture so you can see what we see when we look out any of our front windows - nothing but trees. There are screech owls and a great horned owl in these trees. I love it.
