Alex's counterpart from Russia is in the US this week, working on something or another with Alex. When they met for the first time last year, they got on famously and compared the history and living conditions of reservation Indians to the situation of Russians under Putin.
When Ivan arrived yesterday, he presented Alex with a top of the line Russian vodka. We may have to take up drinking!

i love real russian vodka. if your husband gets a chance to go to st. pete jump at the chance. it is so wonderful--hermitage, peter hof, the subways are even incredible.
