It's allllwaaaays something ...

Alex and Hayes woke early to take our Dacshund, Cherish, to the spay clinic in Lexington. Chooj and I went to feed horses and Lisa, our Percheron, was outside the fence. Well, how the heck did that happen?! It all seemed secure to me and I got everyone fed when I noticed Lisa had a big 4-inch gash on the inside of her hind leg plus blood splatters on her ankles. What the devil??

Alex arrived home (Cherish is still in heat and the clinic couldn't take her) and he saw Lisa had taken over the wire fence and was sliced by the t-post. Lovely. Is it time for electric wire now? We doctored her with what we had and set off to run a myriad of errands.

This evening we cleaned, doctored and vet-wrapped Lisa's cut then hosed Spellbound's cellulitus leg. Taking one horse out of the pasture upsets everybody else - there's neighing and bucking and general running around nonsense. Everyone gets worked into a lather and their panties in a twist until all three are back together.

Shannon, I love the additions of the pictures! As a side note...Betty got to see Bruce, the groundhog, last summer when she was here in September! You're always in my thoughts! XO Melinda
