More blasted fencing!

Well, finally, the pony pasture and the mares' pasture are both fenced! My hands hurt from unwinding yards and yards of high-tencil wire.

Hayes took her friend Kamarie out to the farm. They were heading to the climbing tree in the mares' pasture and I told them to stomp. Kamarie asked why and Hayes replied,"Snakes." Kamarie said,"I think I'll just go back to the house." I assured her it was ok, they just needed to walk like elephants.

We'd stopped to get eggs from a neighbor and the eggs had just come out from under the hens. So the girls got to wander around the farm a few minutes to see all the baby ducks, chicks, guineas and rabbits and doves. It was more of a menagerie than our house!

Another trip out this evening - Alex heads to Houston all of next week so I won't be able to do any outside stuff. I'm hoping we get this pony over by this weekend. There is no commodity for local horse hauling!
