We closed on our house yesterday and immediately started working on it in the afternoon. Shannon did most of the visible work by taking the tractor and cutting some of 4 foot high grass. I moved the appliances in and got the new breaker panel installed.
Shannon found a box turtle while mowing, so Hayes had a time playing with it and swinging on her tire swing, sometimes doing both at the same time (poor turtle). Chooj had fun playing with some of my tools, but I did end up having to pick up several items that were flung from the top of the cistern into the grass below.
I hope to go out and put new locks on the place this evening. Hayes and I will be staying at the house Friday night. I might try to get her to help me do some work on the place. And I figure we will be there most of the day on Saturday working as well.
